The Other Side of the Coin
White Privilege
The other side of the coin is a different, usually opposing, view of a situation. . .
The truth is, this is a matter I intended to address in the future. This topic is deep and intense, yet at the same time hollow, like a well waiting to be filled with crystal clear water. I resisted the feeling just below the surface, the feeling insisting that something is missing...As excited as I was about House of Alkebulan, my mind kept bringing me back to the question of inclusiveness and the universal truths that I stand for. How would we integrate these universal truths into the vision, without compromising our sense of integrity and authenticity? I decided to take time out and explore the message the universe was sending me. The term I use is process, I choose to process the experience, before moving on to the next level of creative expression.
In my willingness to explore and say YES! I came up with "The Other Side of the Coin". The Other side of the coin is a different, usually opposing, view of a situation; a different way of considering a situation (the flip side of the coin, it is an alternative perspective). I like this image a coin, because there is no escaping. The coin exists as a unified field, a holistic ecological unit. The two sides are stuck together, going through the same experience, witnesses of sameness from the seat on the windowsill. The internal and external reflections of identical yet opposing views.
In this cosmic dance, of victim and victimizer, there must exist on some level an agreement. There is this implicit agreement to go through this experience together. There is casting, location, costuming and the script and don't forget the directors and the producers, those are the interesting characters in this story. We must take a very close look, examine their motivations. What is your role in this? And finally, who is pulling their strings? To learn more about your relationship with all the players, come join us.
Unfortunate we all got stuck in the story, and forgot the original agreement, the covenant. We are so good at playing the roles, that we now believe the illusion is real and reality is a lie. We believe reality is a dream that is impossible to achieve. And the present day story between Blacks and Whites that took over 500 years to invent, is the story for which we now write the ending. In the journey of healing historical intergenerational traumas, I will do my part, I make the commitment to do so lovingly and fearlessly. We are offering this opportunity for you to do your part lovingly and fearlessly.
Some of us are brave. We seek the brave of heart and the pure of spirit to join House of Alkebulan on this journey: "The other side of the coin". "The Journey of Forgiveness and Redemption", is the C.O.I.N. The soul is subjected to acts of denial of Divine Self: Consciously Oppressing Integrative Nature. The soul is subjected to acts of acceptance of Divine Self: Consciously Opening Integrative Nature. These are the two sides of the coin -- upper or lower chakra living; our workshop provides an opportunity to integrate both sides and live a Sacred Life.
Let's explore what this looks like, what this feels like, and what are the consequences of these acts of oppression. . .Begin the healing journey today! ~ Namaste♥

"Before our white brothers arrived to make us civilized men, we didn't have any kind of prison. Because of this, we had no delinquents. Without a prison, there can be no delinquents. We had neither locks nor keys and therefore among us there were no thieves. When someone was so poor that he couldn't afford a horse, a tent or a blanket, He would, in that case, receive it all as a gift. We were too uncivilized to give great importance to private property. We didn't know any kind of money and consequently, the value of a human being was not determined by his wealth. We had no written laws laid down, no lawyers, and no politicians, therefore we were not able to cheat and swindle one another. We were really in bad shape before the white men arrived and I don't know how to explain how we were able to manage without these fundamental things that (so they tell us) are so necessary for a civilized society."

Guilty or Responsibility?
Humankind has not woven the web of life.
We are but one thread within it.
Whatever we do to the web,
we do to ourselves.
All things are bound together.
All things connect.
Chief Seattle, 1854
Not Guilty! Just Responsible.
An old Cherokee chief was teaching his grandson about life...
"A fight is going on inside me," he said to the boy.
"It is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves.
"One is evil - he is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, self-doubt, and ego.
"The other is good - he is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith.
"This same fight is going on inside you - and inside every other person, too."
The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather,
"Which wolf will win?"
The old chief simply replied:
"The one you feed."
Not Guilty! Took Responsibility.
